Probably not the current generation, but they could certainly build meeting US safety standards into the next generation I would think.

I'm curious for a Stateside opinion but I think most of the Alfa range is bloody awful. They just look like fat melted Fiats.

I think the MiTo is fairly old, but the new generation of the Giulietta was introduced with the Dodge Dart I believe (they share the same platform). I get the feeling that because they're different body styles, use different engines, etc. it wouldn't be a simple process to federalize it without having to charge an astronomical amount for the car itself.

I drove 2 Mito in Mexico DF. All the heritage ad campaigns must only apply to 4c cnd 8c because this car was pretty much aS regular as a regular car be lol. A crossover option has to be made for the US market for sure. Like the Fiat 500L or similar

that's true. It would make sence along with some type of rebadged Cherokee platform Because cheap fuel, America, and Chrysler

The Giulietta was launched in 2010, so it is a few years older than the Dart. The MiTo appeared in 2008, but the Fiat Grande Punto that it shares its platform with dates back to 2005.

I don't believe any of the current Alfa Romeo cars will make it to the US, they're all too far along in their product cycles for their to be enough time to recuperate federalization costs.
There is a new mid-size car launching in the 4th quarter of this year, followed by another midsize car, two compact cars, a full-size flagship, and two crossovers all in the 2016-2018 period. There's also a specialty car, likely the new Spider, coming in the '16-'18 range.
Fiat Chrysler hasn't confirmed which models will make it to the US though. Chances are we won't see both of the midsizers, and we might only get one of the compacts.

yeah that makes more sense. I wasn't sure how old their current run was. I'm sure they are in it for the long haul like in MX.
